I grew up in West Virginia and earned my high school diploma in 1990. I graduated from Ohio Valley University with a B.S. in Elementary Education and from Montana State University with a M.S. in Science Education.
I have taught 3rd grade, 5th grade, 6th-8th science and the high school classes of Biology and Chemistry.
Other than teaching I have worked on a farm, road construction, as a bank teller, youth minister and preacher. In addition to teaching at NES, I am also the minister for the Cherry Point Church of Christ in Havelock.
I have published two books. Journey Before the Storm is a children's book. Listen to My Heart is a short book on dealing and coping with heart arrhythmias.
I enjoy running, fishing, hunting, and digging fossils.
